Abstract
The major weeds were Coronopus didymus (41 %), Poa annua (21.8%), Cyperus rotundus (11.2%), Medieago dentieu/ata (4.7%) and Ageratum eonyzoides (4.6%). Oxadiazon at 1.0 kg ha- ' and oxadiazon at 0.75+pendimethalin 0.75 kg ha- ' were found to be the most effective in terms of weed control and yield.
