Jabalpur is one of the most important city of Madhya Pradesh and also known as the cultural capital of state. The city is famous for major tourist attractions such as Dhuandhar Falls,Bhedaghat and Chausat Yogini Temple along with the festival of Navratri and Dusshera. My one day visit to the city has gather the below list of attractions, let me know your experience from the city of Jabalpur.
Dhuandhar Falls
The Dhuandhar Falls is the most beautiful waterfall of Madhya Pradesh, located on Narmada River in Bhedaghat. The plunges in waterfall creates a bouncing mass of mist due to smoke so called as Dhuandhar and very powerful roar which can be heard from a far distance.
Marble Rocks
Jabalpur is known for its picturesque white marble rock formations at Bhedaghat on the banks of the river Narmada. The picturesque marble rock formations is one its kind in the world and supplied to all over India, use for stone crafts and idols.
Bhedaghat is a town famous for its bathing ghat of sacred river Narmada,Its another major attraction is Bandar Kodini and travels in between the marble rocks in a boat. Lord Shiva Statue
The Lord Shiva statue at Kachnar City in Jabalpur is 76 feet tall and one of the tallest statues of lord Shiva in sitting posture in India. Kachnar city Lord Shiva statue is situated under open sky and offers beautiful view of The Destroyer, also one of the tallest statues in India.
Chausat Yogini Temple
The Chausat Yogini Temple of Jabalpur is one of two famous Chausat Yogini Temple in Madhya Pradesh, Chausath Yogini Temple Khajuraho being other. 64 Yogini temple is one of the four major extant temples made of coarse granite and Lord Shiva temple is situated in the middle of complex.

Kanha National Park
Kanha National Park is nestled in the Maikal range of Satpuras in Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India that forms the central Indian highlands.The national park is being popularized as the Tiger reserve and interestingly is being declared as one of the finest wildlife areas in the world. Spreading across two revenue districts the Mandala and the Kalaghat, Kanha National Park was declared a reserve forest in 1879 and revalued as a wildlife sanctuary in 1933. Its position was further upgraded to a national park in 1955. The Kanha National Park is spread across the area of 940 sq km in the Maikal chain of hills. By bringing up the buffer and core zone all together, the Kanha Tiger Reserve has the total area of 1945 sq km. The landscapes and the surrounding luxurious meadows along with the wooded strands and the dense maroons of forests offer magnanimous sightseeing experiences for the nature lovers. Making the land more beautiful and adorable, the crystal clear streams amidst the dense jungle cleanses the surroundings and makes the wildlife unrivalled. This vivacious land has been the source of inspiration for Rudyard Kipling, a famous writer for his outstanding creation- "The Jungle Book". The Kanha National Park is the ideal home for wide ranges of wild creatures; right from the mighty tigers to the most populated Barasingha and the countless species of plants, birds, reptiles and insects. This reserve has fascinated many travelers around the corners of the world with its well developed infrastructure specially meant for them. The best location here to enjoy the most is the Bammi Dadar, also known as the Sunset Point.

Nearest railway station for reaching Kanha national park in Jabalpur (railway code:JBP), at a distance of 165kms. Jabalpur station have direct train connectivity from major tourist destinations and cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur, Bhopal, Agra, Jaipur, Gwalior, Varanasi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune etc. Further journey is to be done by road. From Jabalpur to Kanha national park, bus and taxi service is available.

Bandhavgarh National Park consists of a core area of 105 sq km and a buffer area of approximately 400 sq km of topography varies between steep ridges, undulating, forest and open meadows. Bandhavgarh National Park is known for the Royal Bengal Tigers. The density of the Tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India.
Bandhavgarh National Park was the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and at present is a famous natural hub for White Tigers. White Tigers, now a major attraction around the world's zoos, were first discovered in Rewa, not far from here. The terrain is broken, with rocky hill ranges, running roughly east west, interspersed with grassy swamps and forested valleys.
The Bandhavgarh National Park invites all the animal and wildlife lovers at the Vindhya Hills for incredible jungle experience. The best time to make a visit to Bandhavgarh is during the months of October-June. The park is easily accessible through the nearest airports of Jabalpur. It can also be reached through a number of railway stations- Jabalpur (170 kms).
